After almost four decades serving locals and visitors alike, Coffee Gallery—a beloved coffee shop and small-batch roaster in Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore—has closed its doors. The café officially shut down on January 31, 2026, marking the end of an era for one of Hawaii’s most cherished coffee destinations.

Located in the North Shore Marketplace, Coffee Gallery opened in October 1987 and quickly became a favorite stop for both residents and tourists looking for rich espresso drinks, tropical smoothies, house-roasted coffee beans, and light bites. Over the years, it grew into more than just a café—it was a community hub where generations of customers returned time and time again.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Coffee Gallery team thanked customers and staff for years of support, noting that the business had been “more than a business” but a place of connections, memories, and shared moments.

While the exact reason for the closure hasn’t been disclosed and the café did not respond to inquiries before the article was published, loyal customers reportedly lined up in the final days to enjoy favorites like the Mocha Freeze one last time.

For nearly four decades, Coffee Gallery stood as a must-visit stop on the North Shore, blending local flavor with laid-back island culture. Its closure is being felt not just as a business loss, but as the end of a slice of Hawaii’s coffee-loving community history.
